*Any changes you’ve noticed or goals achieved, both physically and mentally?*
The biggest change for me has been my mindset. That has been the foundation for everything else. Since working with Richard, I’ve become much more focused, determined and disciplined.
One of the first things I did was join a gym, and what started as a commitment has become a genuine habit. For the past 16 weeks I’ve consistently gone four times a week without talking myself out of it. Combined with improving my diet, I’ve seen positive physical changes, but the greatest transformation has been in my mental wellbeing.
Going to the gym before work has completely changed how I approach my day. Instead of arriving feeling stressed or dreading work, I feel more positive, motivated and in control. I’ve also noticed that I procrastinate far less and am much more proactive in both my work and personal life. My family have all commented on the difference they’ve seen—not just physically, but in my overall attitude, confidence and outlook.
*What’s feeling easier or lighter?*
Getting up at 5am to go to the gym or going for long walks has become second nature, which is something I never imagined I’d say. I have more enthusiasm for work, and I’ve rediscovered the drive and ambition to progress my career after feeling like I’d been standing still for some time.
For me, it’s all connected. Improving my mindset has had a positive impact across every area of my life.
*Any insights or breakthroughs?*
One of the biggest realisations was recognising how much my mindset had been holding me back. I’d become complacent, negative and too accepting of simply coasting through life. Richard helped me see that I was often my own biggest obstacle.
Since making these changes, I’ve maintained my gym routine for 16 weeks and have taken the exciting step of setting up my own consultancy business—something I don’t think I would have had the confidence or motivation to pursue before.
On a personal level, we also took our first family holiday abroad since 2018 and our daughter’s first ever trip overseas. It reminded me how important it is to make the most of life and has inspired me to create more experiences like that for my family.
*Where might you welcome further support?*
I know that personal development isn’t a one-off process, and I’d definitely welcome the opportunity for occasional top-up sessions if I ever feel myself slipping back into old habits or losing momentum. The biggest reassurance is knowing that I can always reach out to Richard for support when I need it.
